60 years of architecture

Displaying the rich history of an architecture firm.

Celebration

With Francis Cauffman’s 60th anniversary fast approaching, a book was commissioned to highlight some of the firm’s most memorable projects. The color brown and various soft tinted colors were selected to contrast with the silver and rich hues of a companion book of the firm’s recent work. Sharp angles and repeating lines on the cover to also became a minor recurring theme.

Visible Design

Focus for the book was always going to be placed on images of the projects, so text was kept to a minimum. In addition to regular content, signature projects were given a unique, soft toned page to stand out when flipping through the book. In some cases type was enhanced with  graphic flourishes to echo the design elements unique to the particular project.
